Gunbang (the local Aboriginal word for alcohol) continues to have a negative and long-lasting impact on the lives of Aboriginal people across Australia including in the Kakadu and West Arnhem region. Gundjeihmi is working to address the impacts of alcohol on families and communities through the Gunbang Action Group.

DjidbiDjidbi College (DjC) opened in 2012. This innovative educational facility works with the Jabiru school, Mirarr children and their families to increase school attendance and dramatically improve educational involvement and outcomes.
