Dr Bush-Blanasi: a strong leader gone far too soon

Mirarr Traditional Owners and Gundjeihmi Aboriginal Corporation staff are deeply saddened by the passing of Dr Bush-Blanasi, a strong and fearless advocate for Aboriginal rights over many decades.

Mirarr worked closely with Dr Bush-Blanasi in his many roles representing the southern Kakadu and Katherine region as well as more recently as NLC chair. His time, wisdom and support was always generously offered and gratefully received including his recent support and assistance with the transition of Jabiru.

Gundjeihmi members and staff offer thoughts and condolences to Dr Bush-Blanasi’s extensive and beloved family as they mourn this tragic loss.
